Most apps in our category run on pressure. Streaks, badges, reminders that escalate into guilt. The logic is simple: anxious people open the app more.

We decided early that we wouldn’t do that. Not because pressure doesn’t work — it works frighteningly well — but because of what it does to the thing you’re keeping.

A record made under pressure is a record about the app. It’s a performance for a counter. The moment the streak breaks, the whole thing can feel worthless, and people walk away from years of their own life because a number went to zero.

UNA is built for the opposite feeling. Come back when you have something to keep. Stay away when you don’t. The page will be exactly as quiet as you left it, holding exactly what you gave it, asking for nothing.

It’s a slower way to grow a product. It’s the only honest way to build a place people will still trust with their tenderest things in twenty years.
